I had such a great thanksgiving weekend. I enjoyed all the wonderful food and time with my family. My favorite food included stuffing, macaroni and rolls. Ha! My favorite memory was playing card games with my aunt and cousins. We had so much fun. I also made Thanksgiving breakfast. I whipped up strawberry pancakes, sausage, bacon and eggs. It was such a treat. In other news… such as what’s up with the above photo of me?! I was in a hair show this weekend representing Natural Solutions by Kristy. She is my beautician here and it was such fun participating. My hair is so big right? It’s certainly not what I would rock on the usual. Ha! But like they say, “Big hair, don’t care.”
The Studio 54 Hair Show took place at the Old National Centre downtown yesterday night. If you don’t know what Studio 54 is, it’s like a hair fashion show. Stylist’s show off their brand by using models to showcase what they do best. It’s like a live “look book” so people can see your talent up close and personal.
Our theme was “Around the World” and we showcased different cultures including Indians and Asians. I was the “African queen” for the fantasy hair show. I feel like the ladies at the shop are my buddies now. Ha! All the women were so fun and each brought a unique element to the show. My stylist is Kristy Herndon. She is great! Check her out here if you live in Indianapolis.
Our group rocked it! There were over twenty-something salons participating. One girl had a hair piñata on her head. Yes she did! Plus, another woman had a motorcycle on her head. Ha! It was a sight to see.
I wish I was able to get more photos in detail, but it was such a rush I barely had time to think let alone take photos. Take a peek at some of the photos I was able to snap below.
Here you can see some of the outfits in more detail.
Take a closer peek at my makeup. A shout out goes to the wonderful makeup artist we had for the show. She did such a great job.
