Once I leaped off the Cocoa Beach Shuttle I strolled into the beautiful Radisson Resort at the Port Hotel. The décor, staff and atmosphere certainly lures you in. The Radisson Resort at the Port is one of the closest hotels to the Port Canaveral cruise ship terminals. So it fit perfectly with our schedule. I learned about this hotel via Internet, and let me tell you seeing it in person is 10 times better. Looking for a place to crash in Port Canaveral, Florida? Give Radisson Resort at the Port Hotel a try.
Service: The staff was polite, attentive and knowledgeable. They all greeted you upon passing, and seemed to enjoy working there. A guy named Andrew was working the front desk the night I arrived. He was great!
Amenities: The scenery was so tasteful. The pink on the hotel was like the Pepto-Bismol pink—not appealing. But it somehow worked for the Radisson Resort. The outdoor waterfall pool was gorgeous, and it’s surrounded by lush tropical gardens. Plus fish accompanied mini pools throughout as well. Oh and my favorite part was the hot tub, which had a hot waterfall too. Score! You had to travel outside pass the pool island to get to your room. It sure is a nice walk. The Tiki Bar was cool too. The workout facility was nice. However some of the machines randomly cut off and wouldn’t turn back on. Hmmm?!
Food: There were plenty of options around to choose from nearby, and if you want to travel further $10 gets you a cab. Not bad! I ate at a nearby Italian restaurant, which will be featured in my Tasty Tuesday post. Breakfast was delicious. A great chef was there that could make a mean omelet. My kind of guy!
Room: For less than $100 the room was kicking. Spacious and simple, it was such a nice space. There was ample closet room, a refrigerator and microwave. Woot! The flat screen TV was a nice touch as well.
The hotel is such a beautiful place. Plus it’s close to the beach and shopping facilities. It also has a cute shop called YES, which is where I purchased my sun hat from that you’ll see later this week in my fashion post. The Radisson Resort at the Port Hotel gets a thumbs up from me.
