I’m stoked to do a recap of all the exciting things that happened in my life throughout 2014. A lot can happen in one year. Life is a blessing and despite the downfalls life is still worth rejoicing over. So today I am sharing my highlight reel!
This year I traveled more than ever, and discovered a new love that has changed my life. This year has truly been life changing.
Here are my highlights of 2014:
In college I majored in journalism, and up until 2014 I had a job in that career field. I wrote for a local newspapers and magazines throughout Indianapolis, Indiana. I loved it! When I moved to Monterey, California that career field did not follow me. There were no job openings and little opportunity available in Monterey.
So I took a leap of faith and I applied for a teacher assistant position at Heaven Sent. Long story short that job was amazing. I fell in love with the kids and staff there. I had no idea I would love teaching as much as I do now. I can foresee pursuing that career in the near future along with writing.
Redesigned my website
If you remember my old website just erase that memory. PLEASE! Just stop the madness. That website design was a nightmare. This new website is literally a dream come true. I absolutely love it. You can read more about the complete makeover here.
Traveled the world
I have never been able to travel as much as this year. It’s such a blessing and I absolutely love seeing the world.
In San Francisco I was able to visit the house where they filmed The Princess Diaries and the Full House home. So neat!
I actually hiked two mountains including Big Sur! I can’t believe it. Hiking was out of my radar friends, but I discovered I actually enjoy it. Exhausting? Yes! Worth it? You bet ya! I also got over my fear of rock climbing. Yay me!
Two new cars: Mustang & Kia Sportage
The mustang is my toy car, which caught a flat on our road trip, however it is recuperating now at the car shop. In the meantime, my love and I purchased a Kia Sportage and we love it. It’s so cute and sporty!
Next year I plan on traveling to another country. I am one step closer now that I have my passport. Yippee, Europe here I come!
What did you do in 2014?
Cheers to 2014! My motto for 2015 is “She Believed She Could So She Did.” Bring it on 2015 I’m ready for you.
