I’ve been off my Tasty Tuesday scoop. I know! Being out of town and preparing to move has taken a toll on me. Don’t loose faith in me though. These next couple of months I will be transitioning into a new place. Please be patient with me as I will try to post continually. Anyways back to this Tasty Tuesday feature, while in Texas I tried Saltgrass Steak House on the Riverwalk. It’s like a high-class Longhorn Steak House.
My Order: Chicken Sandwich, grilled chicken breast, melted jack cheese, crisp bacon, lettuce, onion, pickles, on a homemade bun with honey-mustard ($10.49)
Analysis: It was the best grilled chicken sandwich I’ve ever had. I even had someone with the same order as me 2nd my compliment. The bun was so fresh! It was extremely soft and flavorsome. The bun was in a category all by itself. The grilled chicken was savory, seasoned and zestful. The sizzling bacon, melted jack cheese, onions and honey-mustard all added that extra kick. That was an amazing grilled sandwich. The fries were good! The server was attentive, but was kind of overbearing. The atmosphere was great. It was like an upscale steakhouse. I felt like I should have been more dressed up, instead of coming in my tank top and shorts. Although I felt like I shouldn’t have been so casually dressed, I didn’t feel uncomfortable. Hopefully that makes sense.
The meal above is a hamburger. Mine and an additional meal is below.
That chicken sandwich was so delicious.
My friend said the chicken tenders were not that good.
