I scurried out of the house grabbing my sandals just before I squeezed through the door as it gradually closed. Clutching my camera and shoes in one hand and daughter in the other, I was camera ready… kind of.
I just threw my hair in my infamous pigtail buns, applied mascara, lip gloss, squeezed into these overalls (because they are not maternity friendly), and darted out of the house. There was no time to get all glammed up! You see these were “last minute” photos meaning I asked my husband, “Hey Erik can we take blog photos today even though it’s not planned?”
You see blog photos and regular photos are two different things. Blogging photos take time, effort, and my husband hates taking them. So asking last minute can be tricky. But today I wanted to seize the moment folks. I had a burst of inspiration that I just had to let loose.
Also not planned was having Aria (she’s turning 15 months soon OMG) run around in the background. Usually we try to keep her out of the photos. This day we decided to let her roam free. Surprisingly though I like the photos with her more than I like my solo ones.
These pictures were not planned at all. She’s just running around exploring. I think including Aria in these photos adds character. It sort of brings them to life. I mean let’s face it, she’s stealing the show!
I can’t wait to share these photos with her someday.
I almost let Aria running around ruin my vibes, because I was trying to get “the perfect shot.” In actuality letting my daughter be wild and free was as close to perfect as I was going to get. Once I let go and just posed everything came together. Everything worked out just fine.
I encourage you to let loose and shake off all the stress of today, yesterday, or whenever. Everything will work out the way it’s suppose to like it alway does.
Thanks for stopping by,
P.S. The clothes I’m wearing here are all old and unavailable. I don’t always showcase the available fashions, but this is still trendy and easy to recreate.
