I’m getting more excited and nervous about Baby Girl’s arrival. I just can’t believe I’m more than halfway through this pregnancy already. I mean…. how?
So let’s get into these second trimester symptoms, shall we?!
I’m TIRED but I am/was tired before I became pregnant again. So does this symptom really count? It totally does! I’m more tired than I’ve ever been before. Granted I do work part-time and I have a toddler now, but still your girl is tired with a capital T. That’s not going to change for awhile though.
Thanks to my expanding skin the ITCHING has begun! It’s mostly at night and more so my back instead of my belly, which itches sometimes too. However I get a lot of back massages these days so I’m not complaining.
Lately I’ve been feeling a lot of STRETCHING going on in my abdominal area. It’s not painful although sometimes it can be uncomfortable. My body is prepping for labor… eeekkk!
SORENESS in my legs happens occasionally. For relief I just stretch a lot which helps loosen up those muscles.
BABY MOVEMENT is consistent now. I first felt her kick at 18 weeks and it was amazing. Her pitter patters are so much stronger now and I LOVE them.
HYPER-PIGMENTATION is what I experienced during my last pregnancy, and it’s happened again. It’s just went patches of skin become darker than the normal surrounding skin. I went to see a dermatologist about it. It’s only happening in my underarms and chest area. It’s nothing serious. Thankfully it goes away after my pregnancy is over.
That is about it folks. I don’t really have any cravings. I’m just hungry. Also I’ve gained 33 pounds so far mostly in my butt, hips, and belly. Baby Girl is making my lower region quite thick these days.
Only a few more months to go.
