Welcome to Tasty Tuesday again folks! I sure do hope your Tuesday is tasty. Ha! I have to admit that today’s feature is interesting. I will be reviewing Sam’s Gyros. I was pumped to try this place. I’m quite fond of gyros, and I happened to have an acquired taste for them last week. You know that satisfying feeling you get when the food is worth every penny, and was appetizing? Yeah that was not the feeling I got from Sam’s Gyros. Hey… it happens?!
It stinks because I did have a taste for gyros. So when my dinner didn’t live up to the hype I was a bit disappointed. Now don’t get me wrong, Sam’s Gyros is far from disgusting. I’ve had worst and better gyros. However, the prices are out of this world. You definitely don’t get your bucks worth.
Cuisine: Half Gyro ($5.49), Fries ($1.85)
Analysis: Sam’s Gyros décor is sort of nonexistent. There were things hanging here and there, but the eatery colors were not noticeable. As a result nothing stood out to me. It lacked flavor. Music played in the background, but you could barely hear it. What was cool was the huge kitchen right in the middle of the eatery. It looked like an actual kitchen in a home. The gyro was good. There was nothing special or different about my dish. It was just gyro meat and sour cream in pita bread. The fries were a huge disappoint for the price. You get more from a McDonalds small fry. It was just too small. If fries are separate from the meal they should also be proportional enough by themselves. Right? Yeah, I’m pretty sure I won’t be visiting Sam’s Gryos again. I paid over $8 without a drink purchase.
Don’t get me wrong I am not always expecting a stellar experience, but I like to feel like I didn’t waste my money at an eatery. Hopefully you had, or will have a better experience. Otherwise I highly recommend Z Gyros. Click here to read my review of Z Gyros too.
