We are down to the wire folks. I am 38 weeks pregnant. Ten freaking days away or less! I am literally days away from delivering my first born, and it still seems surreal. I feel her moving constantly. The nursery is almost done. I even attended childbirth classes. Yet I’m still asking myself, “Am I really about to have a baby?”
Well ready or not I am having a child soon. I’m bracing myself because this will be one heck of a ride. Yay! Enough chitter-chatter. Let’s jump into this update.
She is now about the size of a spaghetti squash. Weighing in around 6.5 and 19-22 inches.
I’ve gained 28 pounds. I haven’t gained a pound since high school people. I am all belly too. Move out the way huge belly here!
I’ve already started dilating folks. My doctor was shocked. That was when I was 36 weeks. Of course it’s not certain, but my doctor predicts I won’t make it until June.
How mom is feeling:
Tired! These past weeks have really taken a toll on me. I get tired so easily. I’ve had some carpel tunnel in my hands on and off too, which is no fun.
Low this month:
Walking has become quite the task. Baby Girl is head down already and the pressure on my pelvis can be uncomfortable at times. Also I went to the salon to get my hair styled in braids about three week ago, but later discovered I was allergic to the chemicals used to style my hair. My scalp was on fire and extremely itchy. Torture!
High this month:
Spending quality time with my husband. We’ve been going on dates, playing games, and really taking advantage of “us” time. I love it! Our fifth year anniversary was this month too and it was amazing.
It’s never ending. I am constantly freaking out because I’ve been doing A LOT, when I need to have several seats. I’m working on DIY projects for Aria’s nursery. I just finished packing the hospital bag. I’ve washed all her clothes and the car seat is installed. Progress is happening.
No specifics but I have been giving into my sweet tooth lately. Tonight I am making Apple Pie Bake. I am so excited.
I’m not doing much of anything these days. I’m only walking in the afternoons with my dog.
Baths, baths, and baths. I fill it with bubble bath and my favorite bath salt, Aromatherapy Ocean Mineral Bath Salts in Lavender, Chamomile and Sage. It smells heavenly.
Thanks for stopping by friends.
