Formerly known as the Indianapolis Fashion Collective, Pattern aims to unite fashion lovers from all walks of style.
“We feel that [the name] is a great change. Indianapolis Fashion Collective is too lofty and clunky,” explains Polina Osherov a founder of Pattern and fashion photographer. “Pattern is fun, fresh and hip and it fits us.”
According to Osherov Patterns vision is to bring together the fashion community through monthly events. It’ll provide individuals in the industry a platform to share their victories and struggles.
“People are hungry for a well-organized, high-quality event which is both fun and useful,” she says. “We hope to attract speakers and sponsors with national and international clout, creating an excitement and an energy for fashion in this city that has been largely absent in the past.”
Pattern exists to help people in the local fashion industry better understand the business of fashion. Through facilitated events, it hopes to bring a variety of great speakers and resources that can help someone to either start or grow their business.
Osherov believes that providing a regular industry event will increase the degree and the quality of collaboration inspiring people to aspire to reach higher than they’ve imagined.
“I’m very excited about the potential and to see how things will evolve,” Osherov adds. “I’m really looking forward to seeing how Pattern can help impact and inspire the local culture.”
