This year for our wedding anniversary my little family decided to take a road trip to Niagara Falls, New York. It was a seven hour drive and totally worth every minute. We stayed for three days and I can’t wait to go back. I’m already having withdrawals!
We were so stunned by the beauty of the waterfalls we didn’t do any attractions that didn’t involve seeing them. We went during the best time of the year too. There were no lines and the park wasn’t crowded at all.
Here are the activities we participated in:
Hornblower Niagara Cruise, a 20 minute boat ride that takes you up close to the Niagara Falls. Prepare to get drenched! It’s so fun and the view of the falls up close is SPECTACULAR. This cruise in only in Niagara Falls, Canada.
Caves of the Winds, where visitors walk along a staircase right next to the waterfalls. This attraction also offers an incredible view. Prepare to get drenched if you visit the Hurricane Deck.
Lastly the Observatory Tower, which offers another wonderful view of Niagara Falls from above and below. Depending on how windy it is you can get wet during this activity as well.
Our daughter is 11-months-old and she participated in every activity and loved it. So parents absolutely bring your children if you think they will enjoy the attractions. There’s plenty for them to do. We also visited Canada to view the Canadian side of the waterfalls. Make sure you visit at night to see the waterfalls display various colors.
It was such a wonderful trip. Seeing Niagara Falls in all its glory was incredible. I highly recommend you visit if you ever get the chance. I couldn’t get enough of the magnificent view.
