New York Fashion Week has come to an end. It was thrilling and such a fashionable ride. NYFW certainly threw some stylish punches this year, right?! Fashion Week hinted at some trends to look out for too. Including the ankle straps and racer-front tanks, which have been overwhelmingly popular at the spring 2013 shows. Seems like many designers were in sync with each others collections. Hmm… I guess some fashion minds think alike.
Ankle Straps (Above): Strapping yourself in is certainly the thing to do now. Remember that embellishment is key and adds that extra “pow.” The most coveted pairs for next season all featured some kind of unique element, whether it was a row of studs or an oversized buckle. I love it!
Racer-front Tops: Designers cut tops with high necklines and deeply scooped armholes. Plus, instead of showing off cleavage, the shoulders are emphasized. Sounds lovely! Designers such as Helmut Lang, Rodarte, Richard Chai and others showcased this trend. I adore how this trend can be either boyish, or feminine.
