That’s right every Friday I enjoy reading Five Things for Friday. You know Friday Five or whatever it’s called these days. Blogs including Cupcakes and Cashmere, Two Thirds Hazel, and Cotten Tales are a part of the group I like to creep on. Oh and I can’t forget the amazing Lauren Conrad who does Friday Favorites. Love that!
If you are unfamiliar with Friday Five it’s basically five random things that happen in your life; inspiration, recipes, or basically anything you want to share. I love reading these posts because it gives me an extra peek inside my favorite bloggers lives.
I wanted to jump on the Friday Five bandwagon for quite some time now. I finally decided to just do it. I want to have fun too. Expect some version of Friday Five to be coming your way more often. This is my first time friends, be easy on me. So let’s get this party started shall we?
I told you all I was determined to make new friends remember? Well I consider that mission pretty much accomplished. So naturally I hooked up with my neighbor and we’re planning a Friendsgiving this year. Cute right?
It’s basically a friend Thanksgiving. Last year my love, sister-in-law, and I did Thanksgiving by ourselves and there was a plethora of food leftover. We weren’t complaining! But we can only take re-creations of turkey for so long. This year we are inviting some friends to come out with us and have Thanksgiving. I couldn’t be more excited. Of course you’ll hear all about it too.
Two: Hallmark Completes Me
Oh Hallmark channel how I love thee. Let me count the ways…
Seriously Hallmark is so divine. Have you heard the news? Not only does the Hallmark channel play Christmas movies all day and all night. It will debut new, original Christmas movies every Saturday and Sunday at 8/7 central.
If that doesn’t get you all jolly inside I don’t know what will. You will find me tuned in with my hot chocolate in hand for sure. See the full schedule here.
Three: Pumpkin Madness
Can you believe I’ve still haven’t tasted pumpkin pie or anything pumpkin flavored until this year? I just avoided it. Just like I shunned pie all my life until a few years ago. Yeah I know insane. Supposedly I didn’t “like” it but I never gave it a chance. Pie looked gross to me. I KNOW INSANE.
Well the pumpkin madness has caught up with me. I confess I finally caved. I don’t know how I resisted before. The smell of pumpkin alone is captivating. So far I’ve tried pumpkin pancakes and French toast. Both amazing! I’m attempting a pumpkin pie and pumpkin hot chocolate soon. So I will keep you posted on those endeavors. The fabulous Katie at the Chocolate-Covered Katie blog has some great healthy pumpkin dessert recipes here.
Four: Cute Throwback
This Thursday I posted the photo below on my chubby Champ’s Instagram. Yes my dog has an Instagram page. Cutest. Dog. Ever. Can’t believe how much he has changed since then. This was my favorite picture in my Instagram feed this week for sure.
Yes I am going crazy because for some reason I decided to join my baby in doing the Insanity Workout. Let me fill you in: Insanity is an extreme and physically demanding workout. It is not for the faint at heart I tell you. I am doing this to increase my cardio and for my overall health.
I’m finishing week three tomorrow and going into week four starting Monday. I have seen a lot of improvement. There is a fitness test I take every two weeks that says I am a beast. I am doing a lot better than I thought I would.
The Insanity Workout is all on DVD and taught by Shaun T. Even though I am angry with him after every workout, I appreciate the feeling of accomplishment I have afterwards. I can’t wait to go back to my regular workout routines when this is all over though.
Those are my random Friday rants. How did your week go friends? I hope you have a fabulous weekend.
Thanks for stopping by,
