I finally was able to chow at Max and Erma’s. The reason this post is titled “part two” is because before this visit I went to Max and Erma’s, and waited by the hostess desk and no one ever showed up to greet me or anything. After some time, I just left and wrote the manager about my experience. I received a speedy reply from the manager, and this meal is courtesy of Max and Erma’s. Thank you Josh! The second time around was certainly more pleasant. I’ve always heard great things about this place, however this time I experienced it for myself.
Cuisine: Three-course Combo, which includes a House Salad, Max’s Cheeseburger, seasoned fries, and a warm Chocolate Chip Cookie ($8.99)
Analysis: Max and Erma’s definitely appears to be upscale, but without the expensive prices. A three-course combo for $8.99 is pretty sweet. The scenery was cozy as well. The eatery has dim lighting, crystal chandeliers hanging from the ceiling, and oddly enough an upside down racecar too (pictured above). It was massive! My house salad was so delicious. It was topped with a wonderful Max and Erma’s special dressing that was AMAZING. I can’t recall the name, but the dressing was original, creamy and a dream. Next up was the cheeseburger paired with their seasonal fries. The burger was grilled just right and my fries were tasty. Both were the perfect portion size. Plus the presentation was great. Finally my cookie was presented on a warm tin, and completed my meal wonderfully. My server was also great. She was informative and had a nice personality.
The Max and Erma’s I visited is located at 12195 North Meridian Street, Carmel IN 46032. For more information, click here.
