I got another mini review coming your way from Handel’s Homemade Ice Cream and Yogurt. Last time I reviewed the Cinnamon Roll Sundae, you can view that heavenly treat here. This time I was curious about the cake batter ice cream. As a kid do you remember asking to lick the cake batter bowl after your mom mixes all the yummy ingredients? My siblings and I always tried to beat each other at calling the bowl first. Ha! I’d be licking that bowl until it was all gone. Just like I did with my cake batter ice cream.
I tasted a sample of the cake batter first to make sure it wasn’t hoax. Indeed it was not, and I was satisfied with my choice.
Review: I ordered a medium bowl of cake batter ($4.53). Thinking back I wish I added whipped cream or caramel drizzle. Yum! Nevertheless the ice cream was delightful. The cake mix flavor sprung from the ice cream. The medium was plenty for me. The cake batter is not my favorite, but definitely worth investing in. I need to bake a cake soon just so I can lick the bowl too.
Ice Cream Grade: B
