This outfit was so difficult to settle on! I must have tried on two… no four tops. You know when you have that favorite skirt that you want to wear over and over again? That’s what was going on except I had so many ideas I didn’t know what to choose. So I decided to show you friends how to restyle it THREE ways later in a YouTube video. Be on the look out for it!
It’s like I can have my cake and eat it too. FINALLY! It’s really four different ways if you include this post. I love how an indecisive morning leads to fabulous ideas.
Why: I wanted to create a business-casual-fun look. I just had a moment of creativity and went with the flow. I was set on my floral skirt just because it’s spring friendly. What’s more “business like” than a blazer and a blouse? The gray blazer was perfect since it captured the hints of gray in the skirt. I untucked the blouse to give an “I don’t care” look, which made it sort of casual in a sense. The black stockings just added to the business-minded appeal. I just wanted to wear my favorite floral skirt and add a huge twist to it. The silver shoes just sets off the entire look.
I think this outfit has pizzazz. It has a little bit of this, and that but it all still works. Or at least I think it does. I really had fun with this look. I was literally giggling while putting this look together. That’s so weird! Lol! Oh did you notice my blue mascara? It makes the outfit even more exciting.
You think you could recreate this business-casual-fun look? I bet you could just follow these steps.
1. Select a fun skirt, i.e., with graphic prints, florals, or funky colors
2. Pair it with a blazer that compliments the skirt, i.e., play off the color scheme of the skirt.
3. Grab a neutral blouse, white is always a great choice. Plus white is trending this spring. Untuck it if you’re feeling risky.
