I am now 20 weeks pregnant. This journey is going by too fast. I kept my pregnancy a secret until around the holidays. As a result I never got to talk about my first trimester with you all. So I dub this post my First Trimester Recap (cue the exciting music).
Here it goes…
I went six weeks without knowing I was pregnant. I had no symptoms besides my monthly visitor being late, which never happens. So it was time to go to the store and buy a pregnancy test. We bought the test. My husband tried to convince me to take the test in the store bathroom. Really? Umm…NO!
I got my nerves together on the ride home. Took the test. It was without a doubt positive. I could not stop giggling, and then the water works came. I had a little one sprouting all this time.
SURPRISE. Not planned at all. My husband and I did not want to strategize it. God’s timing is always best. No worry, no stress. The following week we confirmed I was pregnant at my doctor’s appointment.
Baby Handwork is due June 2, 2016.
First Trimester Symptoms:
No morning sickness. No Nausea. Exhausted easily. No cravings. Minor headaches. Breast size increased two cups. Breast ached and felt heavy. (Small) Body acne around chest and neck area. No stretch marks. Constantly peeing.
I still exercised the same and even started Zumba classes. I watched the last season of Parenthood on Netflix, and cried every episode in my free time. The smell of salmon was a huge annoyance. My naps are epically amazing. Once I ate a whole small pizza from Papa John’s by myself, and no I’m not sorry. Don’t worry though I’ve been stuffing myself with plenty of fruits and veggies.
All in all I’ve been enjoying this new chapter in my life. I could use more energy though. Being pregnant is not bad at all. Let’s see how the second trimester treats me.
Current Mood: Thankful
See ya next week,
