I remember as a child thinking my toys were alive when I wasn’t around. I would leave my room, and barely shut the door so I could peek through the cracked opening hoping to see one of my toys come to life. I tried to catch them in the act countless times.
I would have to thank the movie Toy Story for those shenanigans.
I was nine years old when Toy Story came on the big screen. I had a wild imagination then, and still do. I absolutely love the storyline of all the Toy Story movies. Can you believe they are coming out with a 4th movie?
When I saw this jean jacket at Forever 21 I had to have it. It’s such a fun reminder of my childhood. It features a sheriff Woody name tag, cactus, cowboy rope and boot, and a sheriff badge. The kicker is on the back which showcases the Toy Story logo. I just love it! It’s so full of character just like the movie.
I kept it simple underneath with a loose white tee and some black leggings. I had to complete this look with cowgirl boots. Duh! Plus what’s a cowgirl without her handy hat?! So I grabbed my thrifted hat too. I topped the look off with my handcuff earrings and a choker.
As adults sometimes we can get trapped in boring uniforms that doesn’t stick true to our personality.
I encourage you to step out of your comfort zone and play dress up… adult style. You don’t have to do anything dramatic. But if you want to wear a cartoon jacket, do it. If you want to wear cowgirl boots, do it. Pay homage to your favorite movie, character, or whatever.
You’re not too old to play dress up. Fashion can be fun if you allow it to be. I for one will be playing dress up for as long as I can.
