I’m head over heels for this floral lace maxi cardigan. Doesn’t it remind you of stockings? It certainly turned my simple outfit up a notch. What can I say… chic happens! And when it does I just roll with the flow. I’m not sure I even used the “chic happens” phrase correctly. Let’s just say I did for the sake of this post ok?
This burgundy cardigan was a great addition to my fall wardrobe. You can turn this piece into a gothic or sweet look. The gothic look will be my next attempt. The more versatility you can get out of an item the better. This particular cardigan is not the cozy type. If you are looking to stay warm I suggest you layer it.
This day was the perfect fall afternoon, not too cold just chilly. A long sleeve V-neck T-shirt was appropriate underneath. I decided to keep the shirt simple so the sheer cardigan could stand out; white was the perfect canvas for that. I do advise if you are interested in this cardigan to get a size up, otherwise the sleeves may be too tight.
The high-waist pants, which I’ve had forever and a day, look like jeans but they are not. That’s why these pants are my favorite. They are super comfy! Again, I am wearing my boots from Plato’s Closet. You can see how I styled them here too. The leopard clutch was another stand out item, but it didn’t clash with the cardigan.
Before I let you go friends I have to let you know the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth behind this cardigan. Why, because I love you all of course!
First off the cardigan is fragile, like stockings, so it can easily tear. Be gentle when putting it on and taking it off. Also I noticed it bled through onto my shirt. I can’t even be mad because chic happens (hehe I couldn’t resist). New white shirts often suffer bleeding wounds. Don’t fret! I’m sure a good wash will handle the bleed stains.
At any rate I’m still in love. Oh and it comes in different colors too including black and white. Yay (insert cabbage patch dance)!
