This Tasty Tuesday I’m switching it up again and showcasing food from the vacation. Here it goes… The more I told people I was going on a cruise the more they told me, “You are going to eat so much.” That I did! It was pretty much the “thing” to do. So many options! Everywhere I turned this or that food was in my face. Oh and let me tell you, Carnival Sensation had the best hot chocolate to cope with the slightly windy nights. The desserts were scrumptious too. Heck, the food experience was wonderful.
Every night at your designated hour you were to report to the dining area for dinner. If you wanted to be wined and dined by the waiters, and sit with other passengers on the ship this option was for you. They offered various appetizers, main courses, dessert and drinks that changed nightly. They also had a menu that you could select from that never changed if you weren’t adventureous. I did this the first couple of nights, but after that I just enjoyed the buffet.
When I say all you can eat I mean it. The Carnival Sensation offered everything from hot dogs, ice cream, breakfast, Mexican, Chinese, American to Italian and everything in between. So much food, so little time. Yes I tried to eat it all. Ha! It closed later at night but pizza, sandwiches and ice cream were offered 24 hours a day. It was a joy to grab ice cream at all hours of the day, except the cones were never as fresh as the first day.
This was offered 24 hours a day and was free. Woot! Yes I said free people. I took advantage of this too. The yummy cheesecake was my favorite. The apple juice was especially satisfying. The servers were polite and efficient too. Knock, knock… who is there? Room service! Yes it’s as wonderful as it sounds.
I just love food.
